SPT: Something Borrowed
The SPT challenge this week was Something Borrowed. I am taking these SPT challenges as a way to force myself to take pictures creatively. I'm not really ready to do it as a Self-Portrait. I also don't have any photoshop or other editing capabilities (yet). I am just hoping to meet the challenge and evolve.
On that note I offer the last thing I remember borrowing: EGGS
I'm a spur of the moment baker. Actually, I can be a procrastinator as well, truth be told. That means I often make do with what I have. But eggs can bring me to a complete stand still. There is no substitute. My man will eat 3 eggs for breakfast and at least 2 (if not more) of my kids will also eat eggs in the morn. That doesn't leave me with many spares!
So I usually have to call my neighbor, Jang (as my kids lovingly call her). Thanks, Jang!
Hop on over to amuse-bouche's blog and see how other bloggers met her challenge!

Isn't it great to have neighbors that you can call if you need something? Eggs are definitely something that there is no substitute for. I have borrowed my fair share.
I agree, sometime you are just set on making something but are out of 1 ingredient. I love having great neighbors who I can call on as well.
this is a great thing to borrow - i NEVER have eggs when i need them (and sadly, no neighbor i can rely on for those.)
i can't wait to see how your spt-ing grows!
Aren't neighbors great! I too have neighbors that loan me all types of baking ingredients and it's always a life saver at the moment!
Bake? Me? Never!!! Neighbors that I am comfortable borrow from? Nope!!! Bahama Shores Mama...you rock! This post shows how fortunate you and your kids are. Good neighbors, good food...amazing how I can read into things. Thanks for inviting me - and if you keep sending recipes - I may actually try one out...someday...
Man never thought of that. I can't tell you how many times I have borrowed mil, sugar, eggs etc.. from neightbors. That's a good post. And that you have good neighbors that give to you...
